That's nothing new. I found out about the "sharing of information" a couple of years ago when I called AAA about auto insurance. The agent had all my info. House, cars, driving record, etc.

This is interesting ... the empty business firm near mine has been unoccupied for three years. The owner, which is the original owner since 2000, hasn't occupied the premise since 2006. Still, the progressive site thinks there are 4 motor vehicles registered in that location. Now ain't that a hoot!? Dem ghosts!

so um....whats the point of this? if you take the address, couldn't yous also just become and look?

Can't see inside a garage. If you only needed an address, and so that's an easy way for thieves to do a quick check of what's in an area and worth looking into further. Could be an indication of what level of spending they could find inside the house too. If they changed information technology to needing a name and DOB at present then that helps.
