USPS August 29th, 2021 RATE CHANGE OVERVIEW
The United States Postal Service has announced a second postage rate change that will take effect on Sunday, August 29th, 2021. The price of a Forever postage stamp will increase to $0.58. The price to mail a one-ounce First Class Mail letter with the postage meter rate will increase to $0.53. Each additional ounce will be $0.20. The commercial First Class Mail postcard rate will be $0.40. The First Class Mail large envelope or flat will increase to $1.16 for one-ounce and each additional ounce will be $0.20.
The Certified Mail rate will increase to $3.75. The Return Receipt hard copy will also raise to $3.05 while the electronic return receipt will increase to $1.85. All Domestic Extra Services and Domestic Special Services have rate increases.
Marketing Mail, Media Mail, Library Mail, Bound Printed Matter and Periodicals will also be affected by this price increase.
New, too, is the Commercial First Class Mail Postcard's maximum size has increased to 6" high x 9" long max.
Plus, changes include the removal of Domestic Priority Mail Express $5.00 extra fee for delivery by 10:30 AM.

Listed below are some highlights of the USPS August 29, 2021 increase.
• Forever Stamps will be $.58 and you will automatically save $.05 on every letter with the Metered Mail rate which increase to $.53 for the first ounce. The each additional ounce is $0.20 for both letters and flats.
• First-Class Mail Flats/Large Envelopes will now raise to $1.16 for 1 oz. The additional ounce cost for First-Class Mail Flats will be at $0.20.
• First Class Postcard rates increases $.04 to $0.40 ea. (And size increases to 6" h x 9" l max.)
• Customers who print postage online or metered mail, the rate has a $.05 cent discount compared to the Post Office price for a Forever stamp.

Other increases include Presort Letters (bills and statements), Marketing Mail, Periodicals (Newspapers, magazines, etc.), Package Services (Bound Printed Matter, Media Mail, Library Mail), Domestic Extra Services (include COD, Certified Mail, Registered Mail, Money Orders, Return Receipt, Insurance, Signature Confirmation Services plus more).

First Class Package Services has been the most popular and cheapest USPS service to ship packages under 1 lb. These prices have stayed the same from January of this year for Retail and Commercial Base Pricing.
